Georgia woodworker Jesse Myers just finished this commissioned chess board last week. I didn't want to steal the buyer's thunder and waited until the buyer posted about it first on Facebook. Not many woodworkers currently do this period style. As you can see it's not the usual 64 squares.
I don't want to speak for him regarding price, but IMO it is affordable and in line with the work involved. Any detail can be changed and discussed since it's made to order. He has a presence on Facebook and Etsy.
Just want to reiterate, this is not my board. I've noticed interest in solid wood, raised edge, Jaques style board commissions. I'm posting it as FYI in case it can help someone. The photos above were sent to me by the woodworker, Jesse Myers. Nice guy to chat with. Enjoy the weekend!
