For endgame I highly recommend a free book in Chessable. A guy did a book for his students and placed in Chessable for everyone who is interested to learn basic stuff. If you finish it you should buy "100 Endgame You Should Know", also available in Chessable.

Lev Alburt's two Chess Training Pocket Books are excellent...important thematic positions presented in a puzzle format...these are much more instructive and you will learn more from these books than the average chess tactics puzzle books...

For tactics, Ward Farnsworth's Predator at the Chessboard is also available for free online at:
It has very clear explanations of the most common tactical devices and a useful bibliography.
GM Susan Polgar's Chess Tactics for Champions is one of the more thorough book I've seen with plenty of exercises.
