Best chess books for kids (age around 6 years old)

No, I think more a general overview of chess, including how notation works, and foundational principles.

When I was 6 years old I was learning to read with Dick and Jane. I know that today's 6 year old often reads at a higher level now, but I can't imagine a chess book that a beginning reader would read on their own. Maybe...
Dick likes chess.
Dick plays chess.
Jane likes chess.
Jane plays chess.
Dick plays chess with Jane.
Dick moves e4.
Jane moves e5.

Oh, thanks for the links! Chesskid looks good, and maybe the better way to go for a young kid rather than a book. And perhaps my friend can read the books himself and help explain concepts to his son. Very helpful — thanks again!
