USCF Sales is selling all of the Empire Chess/iChess.net DVDs for 50% off this week. Are there any that you think are worth picking up? Which are the best/worst put out by the company? Here's a link to all of them at the USCF Sales site: https://www.uscfsales.com/chess-dvds/chess-dvd-collections/ichess-net/sort-by/news_from_date/sort-direction/desc/show/144.html

Personally, I like watching videos as a quick introduction when I first start to learn a new opening. Then, I use a more detailed reference book and games database to look up specific lines in my games once they come up. I don't want to spend a ton of time reading books and trying to memorize lines that might not come up at my level, when watching a video will only take 10% as long and give me enough of the flavor of the opening to get me started.

So I'm definitely going to buy the one on playing white in the exchange Caro Kann by GM Perelshtyn, to get me started playing that. Just not sure if there are others worth looking at.
