Actually, it depends on what you are looking to buy.

The reality is that there really are not that many Chess online retailers.  And those that exist are mostly good.

When I want to buy a very nice Camaratta designed set House of Staunton is good.

When I want to buy a specific flexible board, or some other nice things they sell, like the Ultimate set in Anjan wood, The Chess House is great.

When I want the best plastic set, American Chess Equipment is the originator of the Ultimate Plastic set as well as some other nice things not easily found elsewhere.  And let’s not forget that Shelby originated and sells the V-Tek 300 clock.

ChessUSA.com has what is arguably the best set that looks like a new version of the Drueke Players plastic set.  And they also carry some nice boards and sets as well.

Chess Bazaar is becoming the one site selling the highest number of different wood Chess sets.  And they are very nice  

The Chess Store sells some unique wood boards and sets as well.

The Rochester Chess Centeralso handles stuff not found anywhere else.

Chess 4 Less carries great products that I have bought as well.

Official Staunton sells some really nice sets and boards as well.

Noj.si sells sets and the BCE boards that are available nowhere else having excellent quality.

I could go on, but just decide what it is you want to buy first.  Then look at the site or sites that sell it.

Famous collector and chess player, Eugene Manlapao have reviewed some of the best chess stores available out there.

In what world does ChessHouse.com play second fiddle to anyone? Their customer service is world class.

In the UK I have found Regency Chess to be good. Very happy with the board and pieces I bought from them. Service fine too.

Yep another vote for Regency Chess - Julian the owner is a genuine chess enthusiast and I've always found the customer service and advice to be excellent.
