Pocket fritz 4 is excellent if it runs on your blackberry. Accurate opening book numerous features and can download professional games with commentary in less than 10 seconds. Well worth the deep pockets required from chessbase.

I'm looking for downloadable software (for a blackberry) or a portable chess computer so I can play chess during my trips. I have tried the NY Times portable chess engine and the PSP version of The Art of Learning but they are both pretty awful. Do you have any recommendations of any you have used and work great for you? Keep in mind it has to be for 1 player only (not on-line) since I wouldn't be able to use it in a plane.
