Black Friday Hopes?

I'm surprised we haven't had any Black Friday sales at chess.com ... the memberships are untouched and even their (nice, but overpriced) tee shirts are regular price!

FYI Chess House just reloaded their limited number of coupons for Black Friday on their site. First 10 shoppers get 30%off etc.

@Bronco, I don't recall any advance notice about the codes resetting on the site. Or an eMail from ChessHouse. Did you find out about it just from luck? That is, err... WAS a BIG DEAL. (Down to 25% now, but still).

Hey, can I interest anyone in getting the limited edition 1/50 Black&Red Italian leather DGT board for $4900usd (before discount)? Ho ho ho? 

That's a very interesting set there! If it was bluetooth and USB-C I might consider it, but no way I'm going with the "old tech" on a $4-5K board!

I just happened to be on the site page for Black Friday and saw a timer counting down with the comment “Round Two” for discounts. I got lucky 🍀 

Chess House has had that promo for the past couple of Black Friday which amde for some great prices. They also had an open box special 40% off of discounted prices. I picked up a couple of items.  On the book side, Chess4Less had an extra discount which brought the discount to almost 20% and you also got 2 free books for orders over $40 I believe (and the free books were from a pretty good list). HOS/USCF/Wholesale Chess/Chess.com Store which carries a huge selection of equipment and books all had 10% running all week and weekend.  All the above have very good service and merchandise.

And I always have to make this disclaimer that I do not get any special pricing from any of the above-mentioned shops.

I would also imagine others had Black Friday sales too but I did not get notified by anyone else, nor did I hear or see anything else. 

If my memory serves me right, ChessHouse did not have a countdown timer last year. They announced the tiered sale beforehand, but the actual time for the code-drop was not announced. It ended up being some ridiculous time like 1:00 AM, PST (4:00 AM, EST) Black Friday morning when the codes were revealed and active. Don't ask me how I know this. LOL This year was MUCH better. Thank you CH!

Really is such a nice chess clock , So thats it no more chess items for this year at least .
