Board to suit library size red and natural HoS Marshall pieces

I have a set of these library sized, red and natural, House of Staunton Marshall series pieces and am looking for a board of complementary size and color. For size, I'm thinking something along the lines of 1.75" or thereabouts squares? For color, I am not sure. Obviously I'm not looking for an expensive board for these but it would be nice to have something that worked well with them.

Yes, I do. My son has the red and white Library marshal pieces and I bought him this board from Chess House for it. From Chess House

It works great for this set. He loves it because it fits on school room desks.

I have the natruaral and black variety of this set. and i use this slightly larger board from USCF sales / HOS.

I had that board for nearly 10 years prior to getting the Marshal Library  pieces.  it works well because it fits on  small round coffee shop tables.  I think the one from CH is slightly better for the Marshal Library set. The one at USCF is just a tad too big for it, but works. 

I will agree with BigLew on his suggestion. Green and buff or Black and buff in my opinion is the best color options for red and natural sets.

I ordered thr red and natural set yesterday as I already have it in the black and natural.

That board looks perfect for that set.  I just ordered it now.

Its the cheap set I always keep in my car. I use the black and natural as well actually, I pulled out the red set to take these pictures for the original poster as his set is a red one. I prefer black and natural. Though this is a very nice red, very dark.

These pieces btw can be purchased in half sets just one color. You can buy just white,. or just red, if you wanted to add an option to an already existing set

No. The bags come from target, from the party section. You are supposed to put little gifts in them I guess? No idea. Point is they were cheap and came several to a pack.

@DENVERHIGH wondering why you are always posting the picture of my Zagreb set and not saying anything. 

Here are a few pics of my library size set. Though not the plastic Marshall but it does somewhat go with the thread I believe.

The velvet bag came with the set from House of Chess. The DGT 960 travel timer fits inside with ease. Got the idea from one of Jones's old videos on YouTube. "Hello Chess Lovers"

Finally got around to flipping it right side up
3 inch Marshall set on a Mexican onyx board with pink and gray squares.  The stone boards go great with plastic pieces because they are weatherproof.  This stays on my back patio.  I know it posted upside down for some reason.  I'll fix it later

I didn't realize those Marshall pieces and the onyx board were so strongly magnetic as to be able to turn upside down and have the pieces not move

Seriously, my red and natural set arrived yesterday.  I'm impressed by how nice and dark the red is.  It looks like a nice burgundy color.

The Marshall Library size plastic sets are the best analyzes plastic set I believe that is on the market. I have the bigger brother of the Marshall set in Red and Natural. I definitely enjoy that set as well.
