I would recommend you to go through 'How to beat your dad at chess' and you will have learned basics. Also supplement this book with 'everyones first chess workbook' It will teach you common tactical motifs that are very necessary. I am currently reading soviet chess primer and its a little advanced book, you can read it once you reach like 1000 to 1200 rating range, otherwise it wont make any sense to you.

I wish you a happy chess journey.

If you're just starting out, then you probably want something that prioritizes diagrams and plain language over long lines of chess notation. Pandolfini's Ultimate Guide to Chess and Bobby Fischer Teaches Chess immediately come to my mind. @RussBell has a lot more good recommendations in that link.

There are only five books that you need to read & in this order to reach upto 1200 rating.

1. Predator at the Chessboard 1

2. Predator at the Chessboard 2

3. Art of Checkmate by Renaud and Kahn

4. Logical Chess move by move

5. Silman's endgame course

Check out Bobby Fischer Teaches Chess and Logical Chess: Move by Move—both are great for beginners. Also, exploring resources from an IoT development company like - https://www.urlaunched.com/industries/iot, could offer cool tech-based training tools!
