Hello,

I read Bobby Fischer Teaches Chess and I'm looking for something similar to it but not so focused on checkmating. I guess what I mean is the programmed learning style, multiple choice, questions asking what black/white can do in this position. Then after there's an explanation of why it's wrong/right. Anyone have any suggestions for positional play, middle game?

Maybe Pandolfini's Chess Target Practice

Actually, I'd like to hear what better players think of it. Maybe the puzzles are contrived

@PolarChess - you're opinion doesn't interest me in the least.

Ivaschenko’s manual of chess combinations is fantastic. Start with part 1a.
