Thanks for the info. I appreciate it.
Chess Base 17 software - what PC's do you recommend?

I have CB16 not 17, but I can tell you that I'm still using my old Intel i7-2600 (4 cores, 8 threads).
As the previous answer, the faster, the better, but my PC runs with no issues Stockfish 16 Dev, set to use 7 threads out of the available 8, and the analysis depth it's getting to, is much deeper than anything I would need in an entire life.
What I would make sure, though, is to have good SSD drive installed, where you want to have your tablebases and your databases installed. With CB16 or 17, besides analysing, a speedy drive helps in DB searches, filtering, etc.

I think you'll be fine with most any computer.
Chessbase 17 Minimum: Desktop PC or Notebook, 4 Threads, 8 GB RAM, Windows 8.1, DirectX 10 graphics card with 1 GB RAM, DVD ROM drive (when ordered by post), Internet access to activate the program, ChessBase Cloud and updates.
The faster the computer, the faster the analysis.
For those who own Chess Base 17 software, I'm just curious what the general recommendations are regarding PC setups. Pros and cons type advice is what I'm looking for.
Thank you.
