Chess ebook for beginners?

There's a pdf of BF Teaches at archive.org. It doesn't appear to be available in a native reader format probably because the original page boundaries are important.

Simple Chess: A great explanation of strategy, making it very easy to understand. You have it on YT as well: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLUrgfsyInqNbkyiwPSSBQ6ALkkccKItPE
I don't think you need any books until you reach 1400. At your level, tactics are your best friends.
Set yourself a goal to do a certain number of these puzzles every day: https://lichess.org/training
Learn the principles of chess (Develop your pieces, put 2 pawns in the center, castle early).
Do a "blunder check" every time your opponent makes a move and ask yourself what is the threat.
Every time you move a piece, check if it can be simply taken for free.
This is what helped me to get to 1100. This is by no means a high rating, but it's a decent initial goal for beginners. I hope these tips help you.
Hey guys
I'm a beginner (~400) and i'm looking for a chess book that I can read on my laptop (be it pdf or kindle). I've come across Levy's "How to Win at Chess: The Ultimate Guide for Beginners and Beyond" on Amazon, but I didn't find any reviews although it says "#1 Best Seller" on Amazon. Anyone read that book and can give some insight? Any other ebooks that you would recommend?
Thanks!
