Chess King Pro 4 difficulty level setting

Good morning,

I recently purchased the Chess King Pro Deep 4 and have been having fun playing.  I have a question regarding the classical chess game setting, which I play set on blitz with one hour for myself and the robot.

On higher difficulty level setting (>1800 ELO), I have noted the computer plays far below the difficulty level expected and I win too easily.  I checked the "fixed depth" setting and it is at 12, and the time option is 5 seconds (though the computer will often take longer to move).  Do I need to adjust these to make it harder?  Is there a maximum setting for depth?

I also noticed that in classical chess, my opponent name is "Robot" but in quest mode it's "Houdini."  Does this have a bearing and can I change it?

I appreciate any help.

I've never used this software before, but if you can take screenshots or captures of those moments maybe I can be of more help

About the search depth and rating setting, you are able to set both then you should be able to make the computer play at low strength, although computers can think of millions of moves per second, this is with a rating limit, might mean that you are limited the permormance times.

Also 1800 normal and 1800 in computer standards are very low ratings, like in CM10 any of the -1800 usually blunder pieces.

I'm not sure if your using closed software or not, so I don't know how to change the names.

I have an update.

Chess King 4 Deep Pro slowly escalates it's intensity as you progress to compensate for your improving ranking (obviously it will also improve as you adjust the ELO score to suit your tastes).

At a rating of 2000, for classical chess games, the opponent changes from "Robot" to the actual "Houdini."  At that point, the competitiveness of the computer goes up.

I too have noticed that it is much harder to defeat a human rated 1500 than the Chess-King robot with the same rating.
