I recently wrote a book on Chess openings intended for intermediate club players. Take a look if you feel like learning the fundamentals of the 38 main openings. Title is: Chess Openings - An Introduction and includes a 60 page summary of lines with both popularity and success ratio.

This seems a good idea for improvers.

An introduction to openings is a great idea. However the sample displayed on Amazon shows only the table of contents. Does not show a single diagram, notation nor any instructional text.

Unfortunately I've purchased books unseen that have tiny or difficult to read diagrams, unusual figurines, or atypical notation. Astonishingly some books have positions without indicating the side to move. In recent years I've declined to purchase books without seeing some of the material. Sadly there are few chess books in the stores within a hundred miles.
