Thank you very much. I see the value addition now. The annotation and ability to search games based on various felxible conditions. There are more but these 2 is a MUST HAVE for any serious chess player. But until I buy chessbase, this online version will give me at least some games against any renowned opponent I might be facing.
Try SCID v PC. It is free, and you can download millions of games. They are not annotated, but as far as database functions, I don't think you are missing much.
Did you check http://database.chessbase.com ? I wonder after this why would someone buy the Chessbase Database offline version any more when this online version is free?
