I don’t think you need such an expensive device to cheat online. The engine in your cellular is more than enough. Yes, somebody can use it for cheating, sure.
ChessUp

I just watched Shark Tank and this ChessUp thing. Is it just me or did anyone else instantly think, “Well, that’s a really expensive way to help cheat online at chess.com.”?
My first thought was that having an engine tell you the best move without telling you why that was the best move is pretty much an exercise in futility and a complete waste of both money and time.

There's no need to spend any money on this - just download SCID vs PC and install the latest Stockfish engine - both free.

I believe, the AI assistance is disabled when playing online in Chessup.
Please note for now that Chessup eBoards cannot be used to connect to Windows apps such as Shredder, HIARCS, Fritz or Chessbase.

The AI assistance is disabled when playing online. The status of the app is the main problem that exists on the community threads of the manufacturer's website.
Owning the board myself, its OTB is great but the online and app experience is awful on android.

Yeah... the Android app is buggy. I played yesterday and the program crashed.
Don't buy. I had a longer post but apparently chess.com doesn't like that I said the s word and I'm not going to write all the problems again. You are better off with a plastic chess set and lichess or chess.com if you want to sit down and have an AI assist your kid, otb. If they ever get the IOS app to a state that is acceptable, it might be worth it. The android app is hopeless. And chess.com.. if you intercepted my post... then i didn't post, so why threaten punishment for something I didn't even do... because you prevented me from doing it. Usually I don't post on forums because they are all generally complete nonsense. I only post when I feel like I can help someone. And... yeah, just don't buy this product yet.

Do you still feel the same?
