I just realise why I like Dubrovnik style, because it's simple no nonsense robust design and yet it gives powerful vibes.

That's how I also play chess: aggressively and attacking.

So, let's see what style and set you like and if that matches your style of play.

Actually I use 3 different sets for different purposes:

• analyse
• regular play
• blitz / bullet games

All 3 sets are sturdy, well balanced, affordable and easily replaceable.

They also contrast well with the boards.

@bananamoon Out of curiosity, who is the maker of your regular play German Knight set and board?

The regular German Knight set is imported from India by France Cartes - Wikipedia . I bought it in this shop: https://www.amusement.be/ .

The board is from CHESSBOARD No 5 MAHOGANY/SYCAMORE LIGHT with NOTATION (polishchess.com)

Thank you! Unfortunately, none of the German Knight set images on the site match yours. The Knight mane style and Queen crown are distinctive. I guess the exact product comes and goes with availability or the stock images are not exactly what is delivered. 

The polishchess.com site does not seem to be a retail site. You ordered it off that website? I clicked on a few items and it says Availability on request. Maybe it's just the timing.

The board I bought on this website: Wooden Chess Boards (polishchess.com) You're right ... it's unavailable for the moment. I have no doubt that it will be available soon. 

The chess set may be a bit more difficult ... didn't found it anywhere. So far the easily replacement I argued.
