Chronos GX Chess Clocks

My two chronos (longbody) clocks are with samtimer to get the flex pad printed cable replaced. No idea when I'll get them back.
I saw a friend's chronos GX and that has some sort of ZIF socket on the PCB with a connector, instead of directly pad printed. But you can't set seconds on the GX clocks if the time control is more than (afaik) more than one hour, or is it more than 99 minutes....

Oh I'm not looking for another Chronos GX; I have two button versions. I just happened to be in the market for a new clock and noticed it out've stock. I'm going for the new DGT 2500

I just ordered that clock.
Make sure that when you get it, you test the left and right side button levers to make sure the pressure to press them down is uniformly consistent. The first 2500 I got I had to RMA the first day for a refund (from Amazon) because the right side pressed down with almost no pressure at all.
I just called house of staunton to ask them to test the clock before shipping it out to me, to make sure they send me one that has balanced pressure, which I ordered from them today.

I'd check out the zmart pro tap n set.
Apparently the Zmart pro tapnset (the one that's not dual-sided LCD) has a bug where pressing both sensors simultaneously or holding down one and pressing the other more than once causes the player to keep switching and the move counter to thus go up. At least the ZMF-II *definitely* has this bug. I heard the push N tap pushbutton version does not have this problem. If I were going to even consider the dual sided LCD $100+ version, I would want that checked before spending all that money.
At this point i would suggest the DGT 2500 (make SURE the one you get does NOT have a very "weak" left side magnet, which affects the right side downwards lever push as the tension is controlled by the left magnet!!), or wait for Shelby to re-launch his V-tek clocks (or whatever the refresh will be called).
