If I remember correctly, I also had a problem with certain engines in ChessDB. That's when I found out about Scid vs PC.
A little bit about the relationship between the three of them - Scid and ChessDB and Scid vs PC - can be found here, at the bottom of the page:
http://scidvspc.sourceforge.net/#toc6
I suppose the three of them can be considered brothers. (Or at least cousins.)
Once I started uisng Scid vs PC, I liked it and since then I've never gone back to Scid or ChessDB. The author of Scid vs PC is still supporting the program. I know that isn't the case with Scid, and I'm not sure if that's the case with ChessDB.
So no, I can't help with your specific question, but your comment indicates there may be some kind of a bug that shows up under certain conditions in ChessDB.
Configuring Houdini on ChessDB

Hello,
Has anyone tried to configure Houdini on ChessDB? I tried doing it by using the Analysis Engine option on ChessDB and adding Houdini as a new engine with the exe in the Engines directory of ChessDB. Somehow, the analysis that Houdini spits out is completely wrong! Toga gives a better analysis.
Any help regarding this issue is appreciated.
Thanks,
THP
