Here's a rare Jaques !
Haven't started watching yet but got to know from this thread that the character in this series is a chess collector. Got me interested to watch it now.
Any more inputs on which chess sets have been featured in the series if anyone else has seen the series?
Started watching the series and the first episode features a couple names like the puzzleball and killarney (photo shared by @guttaperk here). However, I thought he would buy the Killarney but instead he bought the rare Jaques as the screenshot shared by @lighthouse. Excited to know what's next.
I have watched six episodes hoping to see more chess sets like in the first episode. The only other time I noticed a chess set was in a brief, blurry background in episode 3.
I like the fact that after doing theses hits , It not lose women late night clubs / topless bars etc ,
drugs / the hollywood crap .
But going too see a chess set dealer , That's kind of weird to most people !
Was hoping to see more chess sets , Still to just touch on it is kind of special ,
You just made that kind of money & you stop of to buy a rare chess set ,
It a very nice rare Jaques & then be able to show it to the border police that s a nice twist to why ?

There are a couple of brief glimpses of a red and white set in episode 10. My best guess is that it is an Isle of Lewis repro.
I completed the series over the weekend out of curiosity to catch the sight of any chess set. But only spotted one in the 10th episode after the first one. The 10th episode doesn't even talk about it and just shows it placed in the office of the 6. Couldn't catch a clear view. Pls tell me what set is that if anyone knows about that.
Yes glimpses of a chess set appear in the background . Like a endorsement to the long game being played out . where both lack any sense of a moral compass . Both want to win at any means . Yet chess playing has rule's . So who really playing the real game etc ?
That's for season two & us to find out ? / I do think she was a miscast for the role as she was breaking the law right from the start so you kind of want the so called bad guy to win . Still nice to see them chess sets .

In episode 3, in one the Cadiz house scenes, there was a blurry chess set in the background behind the wife for a second or two.

I decided to watch the series after seeing this thread. I don't have a Jacques of London but I was... hey, just a second... I've been there (It's not the Northern train station in Paris... but I've been there too... this is the Eastern train station in Budapest... fun fact: the West train station in Budapest was designed by Eiffel).
To think... I was so close to catching the Jackal
