First, perhaps ask over in the Chessconnect thread about the specific board you are looking at. Someone over there may have it and the Chessconnect extension works on Chrome browsers, in macOS.
Chessconnect site: https://chessconnect.de/
Second, have you looked at the Chessnut Pro?
Tournament sized board, wooden pieces, upgradeable to Premium pieces.
The Air+ is also wooden pieces.
Chessnut works with macOS - https://www.chessnutech.com/pages/apps
Im thinking hard and about to purchase a DGT Bluetooth board and e peices - intending to link to chess.com/lichess etc with the goal of improving my play and move patience. ( i screw up most of my games in the middle and end because i dont evaluate /look properly . The rest i screw up because chess is hard )
However, the internet suggests it wont work and DGT just replied to me saying they dont recommend it but then offer livechess software as a solution and then go onto recommending windows or unix as no drivers available.
All a tad confusing
Does anyone know ( as of 2024 ) that this bluetooth-mac via livechess works? £1000 on an ornament is not going to sit well, no matter how beautiful.
PS . Ive tried Chessnut air but its just a bit to plastic / small ( but works brilliantly )
