For a short while, I had the "DGT easy" and the see-saw switches was really smooth. Contact the people you bought it from and see what they say, it sounds like it is too new to have dust clogging up the levers.
DGT North American Clock

Thanks for the reply. I've shot an email to the people of the store, but unfortunately I probably won't be getting any replies until Monday.

I have this clock and love it. The lever pushes down very easily on both side. Is it possible that a 1-2 second delay is set? If it is the word "delay" will flash at the bottom of the display.
Good luck

I too own this clock, along with the DGT Easy, and find it excellent. The more you use it, the more the buttons will loosen up. It's still much better than one of those Saitek or Excalibur models. If you're still worried, send them an e-mail and tell them about your problem. They should be willing to help.

I also own the DGT North American, and on my clock both sides seem to require the same amount of force.

I, too, own one and as Qixel says, both sides require the same amount of force. I haven't started using it in tournaments yet (still relying on my Excalibur Game Timer II), but think I will start using the DGT NA soon. Nice clock - a bit lighter than I expected but still seems quite functional.

Yeah, I was wondering about the weight as well. How does it fare when it gets smacked around during blitz?

I think it would be fine since it has sticky rubber feet at the bottom and that seems to give it stability and prevents it from moving around. It's just not as heavy as my Excalibur and that may be also a result of the numbers of batteries that each takes.
As I said, I think I am going to start using it in tournaments soon.

I recently got the DGT North American Chess Clock, and the buttons on it kinda bother me. I'm talking about the see-saw buttons it has on the top that starts and stops the clock for each player. It feels as though I have to press harder on one side than I do on the other. Is this a common issue with these see-saw clocks? Is it something that I should be worried about? Everything else on the clock seems fine.
Any feedback would be appreciated.
