No way! Just admired it recently and have heard so much about Noj's long wait time and price increases,so I'm wondering how far they've pushed up their prices.
Really just fishing here and understand nobody might know.I don't want to bother Noj and waste their time.....The set is gorgeous, btw.
Well,in my case I give them up when I kick the bucket.Hopefully,not for a while.-
My 9 year old grandson gets the lion's share of my collection,since I'm teaching him the game.
But...After scrutinizing what Noj brings to the table,they are truly superb finely crafted objects.I did once mention that the seller "Oldset" on Etsy was in that class,but I think Noj still has the top tier.....Just spectacular finishing and carving,along with super high quality wood selection.
You know, I'm still curious what those 19 sets of yours are. One I know, that's Noj Tal set
@magictwanger, You may have noticed that NOJ has pulled all the prices off their website. From what I understand, after talking with Gregor, because of the extremely long wait time (18-24 months) they can’t guarantee a price right now, not knowing how much their material costs are going to go up in the future. Evidently their wood costs have gone up 20+ percent in the LAST 18 months!
Yeah,I noticed that.I was hoping someone had recently gotten an Noj set and would tell us what the current cost was.
One thing...the Alekhine set,from Oldset,on Etsy is still my favorite.
Just an amazing set and so unique in aesthetic.Almost as perfectly crafted and finished as Noj.
Much less money and really,"really" a bargain!

Hi folks.....This is just a curiosity of mine,since I bought this set 2 years ago and know Noj has a "long wait" these days,with a substantial price increase.
I don't wish to spin Noj's wheels,but figure someone here might have asked about this set,or even something like their Dubrovnik etc.....No biggie if nobody knows.-
