Does anyone know anything about this model?

Thank you!

Hi jazzykat1974. Over the years I think I bought 4 of them. The last one they downgraded the plastic holder and made it out of a good stiff cardboard. Many were sold with plastic housing. I think it sold for $39.99 but I could be wrong. Since the Carrom Co (they bought out Drueke) stopped making anything that had to do with chess (a big mistake in my opinion) they have skyrocketed in price. I have seen them as high as $150 but that is a ridiculously high price, again in my opinion. Like anything chess-related, since The Queen's Gambit came out on Netflix, and Hollywood was all aboard the prices went up. That is calming down now but Drueke products seem to be in big demand. To me, a fair price for a lightly used one would be $50 + Shipping. But that is me, and I would not pay a penny higher but I know many will.

If you keep on looking hard at all the "NEW" listings on the big shopping sites you may get lucky. The problem is people with this set look up the pricing on the popular sites and see these ridiculous prices so they do the same. There is a big difference between what people are asking and what the last 5 sold for.

I draw my opinion from being a big collector of magnetic and peg-in Druele games. My first set of this kind is from about 1970 which then came in a beautiful walnut cabinet with brass hardware. They then went to a plastic then cardboard housing, then dropped it altogether.
