KineticPawn gives a break down on whats on the market for remakes , If you are looking for a original Yugoslavia set , This is very rare & the price's are very high pending on the age & style of the set .

Just want to add that OptimusBlunders who owned 4/5 sets in the 5 Dubrovnik Sets Comparison thread is selling that brown Minceta Dubrovnik due to recently acquiring a DGT brown Minceta set.

I had assumed OptimusBlunders had already sold that set - would definitely be interested in that if still on the market.

I recently got a Dubrovnik from Staunton Castle. I believe they have 7 or 8 different ones, from boxwood/ebony to burnt Dubrovnik's. I personally got one with the antiqued light pieces, but negotiated with them to match them with the Indian rosewood dark pieces, rather than the mahogany stained boxwood. The set looks gorgeous, with my only issue being that the rooks seem just very slightly proportionally shorter than they should be. I hope to be posting some photos soon with my MOM vintage clock I purchased a couple weeks prior to ordering this.
My Staunton Castle set might be my favorite chess set. Beautifully crafted and well balanced; and the size feels just right to me. They are advertising 15% off through December 5.

Here are a few of my pieces along with a MOM clock I got recently. My brother is going to help me take a lot more pictures of just the pieces when I can get proper lighting set up.

Here is a picture of the whole set. The lighting is still not perfect, but maybe I can get a few shots off their website to fill in the gaps.

Here is a better image showing the antiquing on the white pieces.
The set is a tournament regulation 3.75 inches on the king, and you can clearly see how the creases have a sort of artifical dark grime to simulate a lot of handling over the years.

Thanks, I like how the black and olivewood board color tones help to tie it all together. Also one of the things I love about this set is the proportions of the heights of the pieces relative to each other. If you look from the king to the rook it is a fairly consistent slope all the way, which makes for a very pleasing esthetic for the eye. And of course, the glorious knights. The knights in this set are as close to perfect as I have found. The eyes are properly positioned on the side of the head, not in the front as I have seen in a couple of sets. the mane slopes just slightly back, rather than jutting forward, making it look like a unicorn. The head is properly tucked in against the neck, and the neck is neither too tall or too short. Some of the sets are too wide front to back, or too narrow side to side. All the little touches are there. To top it all off, it came with a beautiful certificate of authenticity, with gold leaf and in a little folder, with an image of the pieces, with my name on it, and personally signed by Mandeep Saggu himself. It looks nicer than my college diploma. Honestly, I couldn't be more pleased with it, and the clock just really works with it.

I agree the board matches the set well. I always liked the SC “vintage” finish for this set. It just looks right to me. It is not orange/amber or green like some. It has just the right amount of smudges but it still looks like boxwood.

Any recommendation where to find a good Dubrovnik chess set, assuming I don’t want to wait until 2025?
I have searched around a bit on the forum and the internet, but am struggling beyond the set on HoS.
For the purposes of this thread happy not to worry about price.
