Can you play on chess.com with an e-board?  Would love to get some input from anyone doing this.

Yes you can.

The Chessup board works well, is a good size, and has a number of features for people learning/trying to get better. Need the Chessup app on a phone or tablet to get the most out of it and play online.

The Chessnut products work well - the Air, the Pro, and the Evo. The Evo is all self contained, it has a tablet and board in one unit. The Air and the Pro uses and app but also has a browser extension that can connect to chess.com - https://www.chess.com/forum/view/chess-equipment/chessconnect-a-chrome-extension-for-chessnut-air-and-chessnut-pro-smartboards

The DGT Pegasus works fair - not the best but have not used it in a while so it may be better now. Also uses an app to connect.

The Millenium e-One is more for studying but it can be used to play online.

The SquareOff Pro is not good.

I have/had the ChessUp board and an iphone. I was never able to successfully play against anyone, except for the built-in AI. I could log into Chess.com, and start a live game, but the screen would flash repeatedly and none of the pieces moved so it was always abandoned. These weren't the only problems. All in all it was a disappointment and I'm returning it.

I'm thinking of the Evo Air instead. From what I've been hearing it seems like it actually works.

The Chessup actually works. I have used the Chessup board successfully on both this site and the other site. It is very solid and works well. Have you done any troubleshooting to try and figure it out, talked to Chessup support, or read the manual and made sure the board was calibrated?

But, there is no such thing as an "Evo Air".

There is the Chessnut Air or the Chessnut Evo.

The Air also works well, and it has the very good ChessConnect browser extension that it can use in addition to the Chessnut App.

The Evo is quite a bit more expensive ($539US vs $179US) because of the technology and the fact that it has a built in Android tablet that you use. It is still in the early stages and is not as mature of a product as the Air but it still works well if you are willing to live with the occasional aborted game or glitch.
