Has anybody checked the ebooks out at everyman chess?

RussBell

Yes, I own about 10 of them.  The material in the ebook is the same as that in the hardcover version of the book.  I find the ebook works well though.  With the ebook you don't need to use a chessboard.   This also makes it easier to return back to earlier moves in a game or line of play you are reading about, just by clicking the 'back' button in the ebook software.  So reading and studying games is easier with the ebook.

Everyman Chess e-books are great!  I have a lot of them, and I wish every chess book was published in such a form!

I own many of them. I especially like the Move By Move Series. I buy them in PGN format and read them with ChessX.

Thanks for this idea, I just downloaded the everyman Chess Viewer and The Art of Attack onto my ipad. Fantastic, ideal for travelling.

Hopefully I will read more than a few pages Smile

I find them difficult because of the way variations are handled. There is e+chess which is much better, but they have less books than everyman. The silman endings etc.. Are good and you get the great book of capablanca for free...

Just downloaded that aswell, thanks. Your right, its set out a bit better.
