Below is the medieval chess set.

Please give me your opinions about the sets

"make a living"???  You're using chess.com to market merchandise?  And you're not even a Premium member?

That refers to content on the chess.com site made by the chess.com employees and owners. I am free to post content related to chess, as long as I am the originator of the content. I posted in the appropriate section. It is a forum post and not a banner ad and at the very least people can discuss the type of chess boards, just like zealandzen did.

I'm only familiar with your ad/topic here where you state you are 'trying to make a living'.

That's a commercial use of this site that I'm confident is not permitted under the Terms of Use.  You're free of course to pay for advertising of your product on this site through the proper channels.

It's possible this post violates the terms of use under "solicitation" but that doesn't seem super clear as it says "except in those areas that are designated for such purpose," and it's not like he's spamming anyone; you have to click on the post to see the set. The stuff quoted above about not copying or  selling parts of the site access to the site certainly doesn't apply here, though. I would think this is acceptable content unless Chess.com decides to block it.

With seven million members (and no 'report post' link), it may be awhile before a staff member stumbles across such entrepreneurial abuses.

I think they do browse the forums often, though.
