Yup, though you're pulling in some advertisements Arlindo and I posted in my Amazonia thread. They're presented not to advertise products but as historical artifacts of historic designs of aesthetic significance or interest.

Frank, is that an original B.H. Wood set? The knights are Lardy style, but the bishops, kings and queens look BHW.

I wish it were an original, but it's not. It's the HoS replica set...

Frank isn't cheap, but the merchandise is good.
This price is not that bad,I've seen some B.H.Wood sets that sold for a lot more.
Tonight we had the first round of our club's Midsummer Knight's Dream tournament. It was G/80, d/5.
So, I brought my HoS B. H. Wood set. It is in Golden Rosewood for the dark pieces.
The board is from Legend Products. The clock is the V-Tek 300 in black with red buttons.

And the rooks with wide turrets and bases..stately.
I love the green and buff board--sets off the pieces well.

It really does, doesn't it?
Right you are, Chuck. That's why I sleep with a chess book under my pillow
