That set looks decent. I would never buy a glass Chess Set myself though.
Glass chess sets, more than a decoration

I look forward to hearing from you but I still cannot see it being a great experience. Even from a temperature perspective, glass is a very interesting material but I think it will be cold to the touch.
A few weeks ago i read a topic discussing the inadequacies of glass chess sets. And after reading a few comments and experiencing playing with one i see why all the negativity. The main flaw I've seen is with most glass sets there are clear and frosted.glass pieces and board with white being the frosted set ad the black being the clear set. Differentiating the two alone is a headache to a lot of people and as well as seeing the board when a lot of pieces are on the board. Its easy to miss obvious moves and possibly a few checks due to boars being glass and wherever it lies on easily obstructs the clear squares. Of course to solve that issue you can rest the board on top of a dark surface (preferably black) to appear the clear squares to be black which what it represents anyway. Well recently this particular glass set that has been on my eBay watch list for about a month now and it went down in price so i decided i was finally going to purchase the set. This glass set is quite unique due to tint of glass, it is black and white painted glass pieces and board. Which obviously solves that major flaw of the traditional frosted/clear glass sets. Of course now you have your other flaw such as how fragile it is, making the player feel uncomfortable cause of worrying about tipping pieces and possibly cracking the board or breaking one or more pieces and whatever personally conflicts you about glass sets. In my opinion though i predict the colored glass will prove this glass chess set just more then just fancy decoration for your living room and making it a suitable casual playing set for friend and family matches. You may have a different opinions and your more then free to share your thoughts on this topic. I'm expecting the package in the mail by may 5th so when it comes ill be sure to share my review if it and post a few pics on my album, Till then, ill let the debate go on, if your interested in checking it out hit the link below:

May 3rd, 2016 (Review on glass chess set)
I i received my chess set in the mail, a day before it was expected to be delivered. Thankfully my worst fear did not happen and all pieces and board are together without cracks or other cosmetic flaws. Not much to say other then it was all of what i have anticipated on the previous post. The black replacing the frosted glass is a very big change and the size is very adequate. I will however state one minor flaw i find while playing, (and yes i will give HueyWilliams a shout to on this one) that the felt beneath a few pieces is not very good, causing a lot of "clang" sounds while playing. To put it simply, its a bit noisy lol But that does not stop me from enjoying my new set, i plan on replacing the felt to the pieces that need it to reduce the noise. I feel like it has to do with the player as well, i myself was and still is the guy who can scratch my nails on a chalk board and it not bother me so i don't know if maybe that might have something to do with it, enlighten me if you think otherwise. Any who other then the felt its a fantastic set, very tough glass, appealing to the eye easily playable leading me to state that some glass chess sets (such as mine) are more than a decoration.
Below is a picture of the set out of its package, set up ready for action
The next picture below gives you an idea of how tall the king is....
The last pic i show the flaw i stated with the inadequate felts on some of the pieces such as my black queen in the image
So again tell me your thoughts, good or bad. Also if anyone might have an idea on the best way to replace the felts I'm all open for suggestions, I'm thinking i can buy felt at a craft store, cut it to size then glue in to the bottom with proper adhesive.
