Good books for 1.d4?

I'm considering switching from the English to 1.d4. Which books do you like, and are there any you don't like?

If you want to play positionally, then Avrukh's Grandmaster Repertoire is the way to go (though, some sources say his line against the QGA needs work).  If you want to play positionally, of course, I'm assuming some level of strength on your part...this book requires it.

If you want to play aggressively, then you can either go for Cox's Starting Out series book on d4, which is excellent, and directed at the 1500-1800 crowd.  Or, more advanced, Schandorff's excellent Play the Queen's Gambit.  Be warned, however, that even though that gives lines against every viable try for black after 1...d5 2. c4, it does NOT address things like the KID, Dutch, etc.  So you'll have to supplement or find your own way.

Pherhaps Matthew Sadler's Queen's Gambit, Slav and Semi-slav?

If you wanted to play 1.d4 and follow up with 2.c4 (Queen's Gambit), then Richard Palliser's Play 1.d4! is a good investment. It presents initiative seeking lines for White and long lasting advantage.
