Hi,
I was looking for a chess computer for my 7 years old (and 4 yo) kid. Something not too complicated but still good size and quality. Ideally some i could use my self with my beginner rating (700-800).
Seems like there is a variety of options and at first the DGT centaur looked very good. No apps etc. needed, just fire it up. After a bit of diggin' the internet i found out that the DGT might be a bit too difficult even at the friendly mode. For myself constantly loosing to the challenging mode is no problem but as mentioned in an article the friendly mode is also quite difficult and i don't think kids have the patience to loose all the time. Therefore might not justify the hefty price the DGT comes with. Ideally they put in a kids mode and the set would be a winner.
So, does the forum have any recommendations for a good computer for all ages to enjoy?
