I think you can get a good idea of it from the Understanding Chess PDF selection, which shows that it is mainly a collection of his games in the fifties and sixties, annotated by him.
Has anybody read William Lombardy's newest book?
I read the book. It consists of Lombady's games of others. The games are very good, the annotations excellent. The views on othes, not so good.

That's been out a while , then out of print and back once again. I got it to support Bill Lombardy, he was iconic in the time and now down on his luck.

GM Lombardy may be evicted from his Ney York apartment soon. :(

"Both [Understanding Chess by William Lombardy and Profession: Chessplayer by Vladimir Tukmakov] could stand alone as first rate game collections but what sets them apart as exceptional works are the author’s recollections of memorable players and events of the past." - IM John Donaldson (~2012)
