Hot Wheels Checkmate Series

It's been about 3 years since Mattel released their Checkmate Series of Hot Wheels. I am not a Hot Wheels collector but when I saw the Checkmate Series back in 2018. It was a series I would like to collect. There is another Hot Wheels I started to collect. That is the Bone Shaker. The Bone Shaker seems like a hot rod that Elvira would be driving in. Anyways here's the Checkmate Series I managed to collect. The only one I don't have is the Treasure Hunt King. I am happy with what I do have.

Playing chess with die cast toy cars. I am sure that you can still find these through ebay these days.

As for the Bone Shaker goes. Here is what they look like.

This brings back memories. I used to collect them and organize neighborhood races. You know, back before children became all “thumbs.”

Funy! I have probably bought at least 100 Hot Wheels cars for my grandson, but never noticed this aspect...Ha!

Back in my day,it was electric slot cars on tracks...H.O,. scale Spent hours at Billy Cielo's(still remember that nice kid) house, where his dad set him up with a huge course.Me? I had an oval....That was it. My mom wasn't into clutter....Ha.

Hot Wheels is one of the biggest scams in toys. You buy the cars, then most of the track sets are focused on smashing the cars so you have to buy more cars.

Electric slot cars have moved on , Todays designs well let say you need very deep pockets + the slot car kits you can build wow , waiting for my son to catch up he still on Lego .

From what I've seen they're too fast to be anywhere close to realistic, like the old days. Also, not easy to control at those speeds....I remember having bought one custom full size version from a guy at a public/pay track & I could not get a handle on the crazy high speeds...Turns?
