How much did you pay for your Jaques chess set?

I am trying to gauge price variances on antique Jaques sets, however, there doesn’t seem to be any clear guidance in the forum or through online searches.

Can anyone who has picked up a Jacques set in the last 5 years or so, please confirm what they paid so I can better understand what a fair price actually would be.

I am trying to source a tournament size antique Jaques set.

Appreciate any guidance as always!

My two set , around tens years ago , back then that was a lot to pay  , If I wanted to buy the same Jaques sets today , would not be able to buy them , as the prices have gone up . price wise , was less than what people today pay for a KO set .

The days of finding a bargain on Antique Staunton chess sets Jaques / Bcc / whitty / Ayres / is very slim now .

I own 6 Jaques sets in different sizes. A tournament size weighted Jaques in good condition, with box and label, will run from +/- 1000 on a post 1920 set to about 1500-1800 on a 1860s-1870’s weighted set. The older sets, especially with numbered labels, can cost many thousands, depending on condition and provenance. I’ve seen sets in excellent original condition with numbered labels, boxes, and pills (little labels on the bottom of the pieces) go as high as 8-10K at auction.

I am not a collector but I was wondering how an incorrect registration number on a label would impact the price of an antique set. Frank has an 1856-1858 Anderssen with a box for $1,595. He states the label on the box has an incorrect registration number. It is 697 instead of 607. Does this impact the price in a positive way, negatively way or neither? Please forgive my ignorance on this next question. Is it possible the box is not the original box and label paired with this type of set since the label is wrong?
