Actually it was relevant and this user actually needs to be reported...though since he's only been on the site for 10 days, I doubt it's going to really mean much. 
You say he should be reported, but you were laughing it off earlier...

No, your comment was completely irrelevent. He asked about a book with the title "How to Beat Your Dad at Chess", which is a great book with an admittedly silly title, and you made a silly comment. I'm not saying that he should be calling you names, but your comment was still silly and irrelevent.

It may have been irrelevant, but it was also entirely benign and all in good fun. The response, on the other hand, was quite disproportionate.
It was the yay part, that made it sound silly. If she had just said I already beat my dad in chess! That would of been okay.
