Import Chess.com games into Fritz

Hi guys,

I was just wondering if there is an easy way to import a game I played on Live Chess into Fritz for analysis?

Thanks,

Fredric

Yep. Just go to your games archive in chess.com, put a check in the box of a game you wish to analyze, then click the button at the bottom to download the .pgn file. Run Fritz and go to File/Open/Database and use the file explorer to find the .pgn file in question. Fritz will load it and you can analyze it (e.g., blunder check, or analysis, etc.). You can place the game in a database of games if you wish, so you'll have access to all your analyzed personal games. Don't put these games in the Fritz big database, but it a new one of your creation.

Another alternative, for those that don't have Fritz, is to go to the ChessBase site and download ChessBase 2007 Lite ... this gives you database functions and you can use a simple engine (e.g., Fritz5, or some other engine you can download).

(A note of caution: don't try to put a regular ChessBase version AND ChessBase 2007 Lite on the same computer, or at least not on the same drive, in the ChessBase folder system ... the two programs will present file conflict problems, or at least did when I mistakenly did this.)

Good analysis!

Thanks a lot!
