Well, there is the wood Ultimate set about to be released by Shelby of American Chess Equipment.
In the market for a mid-range set of chess pieces; looking for suggestions.
I don't know what mid-range means exactly. However, if you like the bishop from the Ultimates than try the Fischer-Spassky set. Many companies make them. Here is the $159 version from HoS. https://www.houseofstaunton.com/the-fischer-spassky-series-chess-pieces-3-5-inch-king.html
There is also the Reykjavik version. https://www.houseofstaunton.com/the-reykjavik-ii-series-chess-pieces-3-75-king.html
You can of course go with the Ultimates in wood. https://amchesseq.com/collections/wooden-chess-pieces/products/ultimate-chess-pieces-redwood-boxwood-3-75-king?variant=37396624179391
Again, others make the Fischer-Spassky and Reykjavik versions. I believe Chessbazaar.com and royalchessmail.com are two of them that do.
By mid-range I mean about $100 - $250.

Eyechess did say Shelby is selling Ultimate Chess Pieces in wood. Also chesshouse sells wooden Ultimates. However good luck getting one. They tend to always be out of stock with theirs. I guess you can sign up for a notification email.
As the title currently states, I am looking for a high quality chess board. I like the look of these short but large pawns. Here's an example:
However, I want a bishop that has a large head, similar to those of the Ultimate Staunton Pieces. Here's an example:
If you know of any set of pieces that meet this criteria or something similar to it, please leave a reply. Thanks!
