Jaques small club Vs club size. What’s the difference?

Hi

I was lucky enough to get my hands on a small club size Jaques set in the week. The auction house selling the set indicated it was a tournament size set, which it wasn’t 👍🏻
My question is what is the difference between small club and club size sets, apart from the obvious differences in the size of the kings (9.8cm for small club and up to 11cm for club size)? Is there a size difference for all the pieces or just the king? I picked up a club size bishop last year off a friend and it is exactly the same size as my small club bishop. So with this in mind I am a bit unsure of the overall set differences.
Would welcome your thoughts on this.

I would in general say that club size would be considered 3 inch or 3 1/4 king and the bases are smaller. Small sets or  analysis is something like 2 1/2 inch or 2 inches.  I like the club size because i can put one on a folding tray in room for use/ where the full sized ones usually wont fit

That bishop you found is bigger than the small club version sets are proportional.

Hi my question still remains. Apart from the size differences in kings are the other pieces different sizes? As mentioned I acquired a club size bishop last year and it appears to be the same size.

So what’s the height on your bishop?

Approximately 6.8 cm

I have a full club set from 1890.  The Bishop is just over 3" tall.

@skelts1974, to correct the misinformation given above by goommba88, A Jaques full-size club set has a king 4-1/2” tall, the small club is 4”, the tournament size is 3-1/2” (which was traditional up until the 1950’s, when it changed to 3-3/4”) and the library or analysis set was 2-3/4”. As for the bishops, I own examples of all four sizes of Jaques sets, so I dragged out a ruler and measured for you. The Club bishops are 3”, the small club are 2-3/4”, the tournament size are 2-5/8”, and the library size are 2-1/2.” I hope this helps. I can take pics of the four if you wish.
