Legit where can I buy a nice, small chess set with algebraic notation

I'm looking for a chess set that meets the following criteria:

  • algebraic notation (I am a fool I cannot remember the squares otherwise)
  • not plastic (I may be a fool but at least I'm an environmentalist)
  • not big, board no more than 20cm x 20cm preferably more like 10cm x 10cm
  • pieces protected from clumsiness, ideally magnetic but pegged also fine
  • stores neatly/compactly, the folding ones where the pieces live inside the board are ideal
  • costs no more than ~£30 including shipping to the UK, I could go a little higher but not that much

I feel like I have gone over the entire internet looking for a chess set like this and can't find one. Lots of cheap wooden folding chess sets that are almost there but don't have the algebraic notation. If I weren't constantly out of money it'd be easier but I am broke all the time.

I mainly want it for looking at positions etc when I'm studying or doing puzzles.

Have a look at something like this, there is a lot of these Indian wooden magnetic sets, it fits your criteria (just find one with notation): https://www.amazon.co.uk/Rusticity-Wooden-Foldable-Magnetic-Handmade/dp/B06WRNRH28/ref=sr_1_9?crid=3IWHZYDGJXIFS&keywords=Handmade+Wooden+Foldable+Magnetic+Chess&qid=1703123586&s=kids&sprefix=handmade+wooden+foldable+magnetic+chess%2Ctoys%2C96&sr=1-9

However I'd recommend you 12 inch set, 7"(18cm) is too small, and pieces for 12" set are bigger, better carved and better proportioned to the board. I use 12" for analysis.

Sorry about the plastic, but https://www.houseofstaunton.com/standard-checkbook-magnetic-travel-chess-set.html is a realistic option, I can't tell you how old my travel set is.

i think the first chess set that comes up in chess house wooden set is a small set with algebraic nnotation

The Chess House website offers a variety of chess sets, but it doesn't specify the first chess set that appears on their page as a small set with algebraic notation. They have sections like "Chess Sets with Storage," "Top Chess Sets Under $50," and "Top Chess Sets $50 to $150." For more detailed information about the size and notation of specific sets, you might need to explore these categories or contact Chess House directly.
