I'd check the clearance on all the major chess stores. Most of them are always selling good sets real cheap if your not too choosy.
Hello everyone, this is my first post on the chess.com forums. I'm in the search for a good priced chess set (as well as a board, not neccessarily from the same place).
I'd like something that matches, and looks nice. I really prefer a good Brass Set, though a really nice Wood set would be nice as well (as long as the wood grain was super apparent).
On another note, I really enjoy this chess set:
It's 900 bucks, though, so I wouldn't buy it. But isn't it nice!!!?
Anyway, thanks for the help in finding a set.
