Marble chess set

I was an army brat and my dad served in Hong Kong in the late 80s early 90s where he picked up this marble chess set. I only got in to playing again earlier this year and when I mentioned I had starting getting into it today he pulled out this board and said he wanted to get rid of it...

Reason I'm posting it here is that as a beginner, I feel a bit silly asking this but... Have I got the king/queen right here? I assume the king is the slightly taller one which tapers up at the top with the queen having the rounder, wider top...

Nice set!

I would guess you've got that right: The top of the King resembles a cross that was rotated/smeared out for 180 degrees. The top of the Queen is simpler, more like the small ball that is usually on top of the Queen. Note that the top of the Queens and the Bishops are identical, as is usually the case.

Enjoy!

Nice set!  This may help: "White on right, queen on color."  Translation: Orient the board so that the board's white corner square is at your right hand and place the queen on the square of her color.

Interesting comment about the bishop and Queen, that's helpful and not something i knew. Thanks!

This is answering a slightly different question from my original one which was more about the pieces themselves... But as it happened I needed to consult the chess.com app to orient the square colours right when I first set it up, so this is also a helpful comment, thanks!
