Hello all,

I am 1800 USCF and I see now that when I play higher rated players that I do fine in the opening and if we reach an endgame I can usually hold my own, but when I lose its always letting them take too much space or something in the middle game that Im missing. All of my losses are slow positional losses.

I would appreciate if someone could recommend any middle game books to help me learn more about middle games.

It is hard to suggest anything, without knowing something you already read. For example have you read My System or Zurich '53? Also positional chess is a broad term. Maybe you mean strategical chess?

I am around your level and my IM trainer recommended me two books: Bronznik’s Techniques of Positional Play (New in Chess) and Popov’s Chess Lessons (Quality Chess). Hope this helps.
