Hello fellow Chess Players,

I am thinking of buyin a MonRoi Personal Chess Manager but first i would like to have some opinions on this device. Please tell al your personal pros and cons regarding this product!

I've never heard of it before your post, so it may be absolutely brilliant, but it looks a bit pointless to me - what do you need it for that a pen and paper cannot do? If it's just the ability to have a whole library of games in your pocket, then there are other options that require abit more work but would work out much cheaper.

pros: it keeps track of your games

cons: everything else.

A really nice pen and a stack of bound notation books costs far less and does everything you need.

With this device you can store your match in digital format. You can analyse your match with this device or with a simple PGN reader without manually entering your moves. I know there are other options but the problem is that the MonRoi is the only device which is approved bij the USCF/FIDE and therefore the only digital device which can be used at official tournaments.
