Thanks I am going to use some of these.
My Book Recommendations to 1000-1200 rated players

Learn To Play Chess Like A Boss is the updated version of Patrick Wolff's book. Still an excellent choice.
I also like Everyone's First Chess Workbook by Peter Giannatos and Susan Polgar's Learn Chess the Right Way series at this rating level.

Namaste,
) by recommending the below books to help them cross this level to a few more rating points higher than 1200. As I recall the days when I was stuck in this D class, the following books did help me. Although, I'm giving the books to be read sequentially, you're free to read out of sequence if it helps you.
I'm writing this blog to help players from 1000-1200 chess.com rating (Daily and at least 30 min rapid, not Bullets where you just play keeping your brains aside
1. Complete Idiot's Guide to Chess - Patrick Wolff
This book is recommended for all the players below 1400, as it covers the topics from introducing the pieces up to basic endgames, introduces a few strategical concepts and also tells you how to study openings. The players who already know all the rules can skip first few chapters. After studying, start applying the principles and you'll find that you start getting direction to think while making a move.
2. Silman's Complete Endgame Course - Jeremy Silman
I really appreciate the Rating-wise endgame material that Jeremy provides. If suppose you're a 1191 rated player. You can complete studying chapters meant for up 1200 rated players. Still, if you feel very enthusiastic for learning endgame concept, you can study one class higher, but I would advise not go any further. Then keep the book aside, and open only once you rise to the next class level. After studying, you'll be very confident in endgames with the players of your level.
3. Logical Chess Move by Move - Irving Chernev
As the name suggest, the author writes the ideas of each and every move played during games including classical evergreen game. This is the book that made me understand the ideas behind the obvious good-looking moves.
Below are the books that is out of sequence, means you can study them parallel with the above-mentioned books:
A. Winning Chess Puzzles for Kids Vol. 1
B. Winning Chess Puzzles for Kids Vol. 2
Note: For players below 1000 rating, I suggest no books. Just play and enjoy the game and by little playing experience you can reach 1000 rating strength from where you need help from coach/books to move ahead.
Hope this little blog be useful to all of you. I am keeping the comments enabled in case you've questions, comments or disagreements.
