I believe you have the "Ultimate Chess Pieces" set. I don't know a lot about them but there are people here who do. The originals are not made anymore and you have a GREAT (almost) set . I believe there are some copies being made however. Here's a link to some more info ... https://www.chess.com/forum/view/chess-equipment/is-this-style-set-still-available?page=1
Need help finding a replacement chess piece

Thanks for the information. For what its worth, I contacted the people who make the set and they helped me fix my rattle. Now its as good as new! Thanks, Ron.

Now they're back in production. Looks like the color might be less yellow and more white for the white pieces. . . but other than that looks similar. Now they offer 2 queens with the set. http://amchesseq.com/Ultimate-Chess-Set--Triple-Weighted--3-58-King_p_76.html

@marshallfantiv, what was the solution to the rattle? I have the same set with several pieces rattling.

I peeled off the felt on the bottom, opened the plastic "door" with the flat side of a screwdriver, and used a strong adhesive/bond available at Walmart (the kind with 2 tubes you mix together) to re-secure the piece of lead in the pawn's cavity. Reglued the felt with elmer's glue and I was good to go. Can't even tell which one it was.
Need some help. One of the chess pieces I have (from a set I received almost 20 years ago!) has developed a rattle from a loose weight. I need to replace one of the pawns. I don't want to get a new set unless I absolutely have to. I really like this set: it's super heavy and sits so nicely. I'm pretty sure it was purchased through US Chess (that's what my mat says). I thought it was a Reykjavik set, but the pawn looks very different from the current sets I could find. Does anybody know what "variation" this set is? See photo in post. Thanks for your help!!!
