New Product at ACE - Giant Checkbook Magnetic Chess Set

Hey All,

People have been complaining to me on the checkbook magnetic chess set.  They were sick of losing pieces and wanted an extra queen.  I took care of that a year ago.

Over the past year I had a bunch of people complaining to me on the size of the set.  They told me it was great for the kids and for analysis,  but my adult customers were having trouble with the size of the pieces.  Adult size hands are not made to pick up the tiny pieces.

So this is what I did,  I DOUBLED the size of the set.  Granted,  it will not fit in your pocket.  Maybe if you are Andre the Giant or you wear cargo pants with the huge pockets.  I am sure I solved the problem of the size of the pieces.  Should be a better size for game analysis,  I think.  It will still fit in chess bags or a backpack.  Figure at $8.95 it's a good deal.  I know at the tournaments I was selling them at $12.95 and no one complained.

I would like to get your opinion on it. I only ordered 1000 of them in.  If there is anything I need to change on it I will be able to do it the next run.

 Actually, I would like to see this new board next to something normally seen for a size comparison.  For instance how about picturing it next to a standard 2.25" square vinyl board and set.

I have a magnetic chess set of this large type. It's perfect to use around the house, in the garden or in my office (I just leave it flat open and the book over it as cover when I've finished my break), and at team dinners (since it's easier for more people to follow when you go through the games of the day). For travel I prefer to use the ordinary size, for ease of packing and unpacking and the fact that you can easily put it in your pocket or outside bag pocket when checking-in, boarding, in your seat etc.

Hi Shelby, can one set go USPS First Class?  The new weight goes up to 15.99 ounces. I realize how shopping baskets work and the problems.  Thx, Mike
