hello everyone, i'm new on this forum so forgive me if i dont follow/know all the rules !

do someone think that is possible to find an original chess equipment from the 1974's olympiad in france ? Because i was in a shop that sell a lot of vintage thing, and i saw a chess game with the logo of this event... i find it very curious and maybe there were a lot of games who where sold at that time (like official world cup ball...) so i ask specialists opinion : do you think it can be an original game, and how much would you be ready to buy it ?

thanks for your answer !

it was probably something like this:

There's lots of Lardy sets from this period that display this logo. These sets were not actually used at the Olympiad, it's just a marketing thing (similar to "official world cup ball", like you suggested).

I hope this wil help you in your research, it's the official ad for the olympiad's chess set:

The sets marked as Frank explained were commemorative of the Olympiad.
