Petrosian's Legacy is in algebraic. I don't know about the others.
Petrosian Books : which use algebraic notation ?

I have the Harding Simpole reprint of Petrosian's Best Games of Chess 1946-1963 by Clarke. It's in descriptive.
The book description on Amazon says this about the version of Tigran Petrosian His Life & Games by Vasiliev et al that they sell: This book was originally published in Descriptive Chess Notation. Since that time, Descriptive has become almost obsolete. For that reason, all 50 games in this book have been converted into modern Algebraic Notation and are included in an appendix in the back of the book.
Don't know anything about the others.
"Botvinnik-Petrosian 1963 by Botvinnik"
I think you are referring to the one published recently by New In Chess. In that case, yes, it is in algebraic notation.
Other books you may want to look at:
- Petrosian vs the Elite by Keene and Simpole
- The Games of Tigran Petrosian by Shekhtman
- Petrosian the Powerful by Soltis
- How to Defend in Chess by Crouch [Lasker + Petrosian]
All of them are in algebraic notation.

Please could anyone say which of these Petrosian books are algebraic ?
Petrosian's Legacy by Petrosian ( 1990 )
Tigran Petrosian His Life & Games by Vasilev et al
Petrosian's Best Games of Chess 1946-1963 by Clarke
Botvinnik-Petrosian 1963 by Botvinnik
Tigran Petrosian : Master of Defense : Petrosian's Best Games of Chess 1946-63 by Clarke
Petrosian has been called the successor to Nimzowitsch. Sadly there are few books about Petrosian. Of these some are 20 or more years old. I have two books ( about others ) in descriptive notation and have given this up.
Its frustrating that most book reviews do not mention whether the book is algebraic or not !
Any recommendatons about Petrosian books will be appreciated. Thanks for your kind assistance.
