Not sure.

Here's some pics of my vintage circa 1970 Drueke Plastic set AKA "The Players Choice" set.
Nice condition!
I don't think I have ever seen such a clean looking Drueke set.

Thanks Ken, Yeah the set is in pristine condition. I forgot to mention it is also the heavy weight version. I will be giving this set to my very close chess friend who I have known for over 40 years. Henceforth this will be his tournament set!

Very nice gift.
+1 Ditto to that Mike. Best Drueke we've ever seen, super clean and great photos as usual.
Thanks D2, its going to a new home soon!
Very nice gift.
Thanks, My friend wants to use a board with 2 1/4" squares. I think the Drueke set looks better on a board with 2 1/8" squares. Kings measure 3 5/8" in height. What do you think?

I tend to side on having more space (larger squares)... as long as there is enough space on the playing surface (table).
DGT plastic chess set,K height 85mm,weighted.
ohh that's pretty nice where do i get it?Go to the dgt webshop,www.dgtshop.The pieces cost 11euros and the full set with the chessboard(like you can see in my post)is 20 euros.I just saw they stock a new set with a 95mm K if you need bigger pieces.
BigBud, wow! What an interesting and unique looking set! Looks like the definition of "plastic chic."
This was my first chess set. I got it when I was in 8th grade because I thought it looked so cool.
It was designed by recognized sculptor, Peter Ganine, and sold by one of the big toy companies. Turns out it was used for 3-D chess on Star Trek. There's a used market for these old sets for as much as $150.
I still think it looks cool but I wouldn't want to play with it.
D2... My dad bought that set for me when I was around 8yrs old (~1977). Don't know anything about it except that he got in NY and "it was very expensive" (been hearing that phrase since... well since I was 8yrs old!).
... unless your inquiring about the plastic pieces, those came from HOS.
Thanks Eddie-Sorry it took so long to respond. Got distracted by the just prior chess set photo posted lol
Some very "nice sets" there
